This was one of my most memorable engagement sessions ever. I was so excited about it because I'd never been to Great Falls in Maryland so it would be a first for me. I arrived a little early and decided to walk around al little then headed back to the car to listen to some tunes before my lovely couple arrived. And just like that my car battery died. So of course I am trying to focus on the upcoming session but also trying to figure out how I'm going to get a jump since my car was parked facing in with no real way to reach the battery. My couple arrived and by then I had calmed down a little and they were so much fun that I temporarily forgot about my problems. We did a morning session and took photos as we explored. They saw a snake and offered to show it to me - but I assured them that the session would be over if I saw it! So I put a long lens on and shot from far away. (I hate snakes!) They are both nature lovers and fun loving and the groom happens to love Disney movies. By the end of the session we were laughing and generally having a good time. My husband arrives just as we are finishing up in his Cowboys jersey and the groom is wearing his Redskins jersey and there was an instant rivalry - they were chatting it up about football while me and the bride were discussing wedding colors. Between the two of them they got my car started and even through all of that we all had a great time.
