Liz and Rob's Herrington on the Bay wedding was the perfect event for such a fun loving, relaxed couple. I always say a prayer for each couple that we photograph that they had a beautiful day and a wonderful life together and of course that the love our amazing photos! However, Rain was in the forecast and part of my prayer this time was that it didn't rain (at least not until after the ceremony). Herrington on the Bay is such a beautiful location and an outdoor beach side ceremony is part of its appeal. Fortunately, there wasn't even a hint of rain all day!
Liz and Rob had a tropical style wedding complete with a barbecue for the reception followed by dancing, dancing and more dancing. She wore a simple, elegant wedding dress with a bouquet of orange and deep red callas and roses. Her lovely bridesmaids wore dresses from Dress Barn featuring the tropical colors and they really are dresses that can be worn again. Rob wore a tan suit accented by a tie that reminded me of Virginia Tech colors, hmmm.
They had a short ceremony in which the bride's cousin married them and they exchanged their own vows and boom, they were married. After some family photos, wedding party and photos of the newly married couple, it was time to party! We were able to get some sunset photos of Liz and Rob just before the reception.
The DJ kept everyone on on the dance floor throughout the reception and closed with Don't Stop Believing by Journey. It was such a fun wedding! The wedding party was full of jokesters which kept us and everyone laughing throughout the evening.
