Q: Do you travel for destination weddings?

A: Absolutely! We love to travel and would be honored to photograph your destination wedding.

Q: Do you work with a second photographer?

A: Definitely! Our wedding packages include a second photographer to provide you with a variety of angles and coverage of your big day.

Q: Do you retouch images?

A: Yes! We provide minor retouching to your final image selections for albums and prints. Minor retouching includes: correcting skin blemishes, removing glare from eye glasses when possible; swapping faces and smiles from one image to another.

PORTRAIT SESSIONS:

Q: WHAT TO WEAR?

A: For most sessions there is generally time for an outfit change so I often suggest a dressy look and a more casual look. It is important when selecting your wardrobe that you wear clothing that is appropriate to the location of your portrait session. Ladies, if you are wearing heels, I encourage you to bring a pair of comfy shoes in case we have to walk for long distances (like the National Mall or Rock Creek Park) Bold colors and subtle patterns look fabulous. Most importantly, dress for your personality and add accessories to give a bit of added flair.

THINGS TO AVOID:

ill fitting clothing (too tight or too baggy)
large patterns
wearing too much white (unless of course, we are doing a bridal portrait session!)

ENGAGEMENT SESSIONS:

Q: Where should we have our engagement portraits?

A: We have a few locations that we love but we will coordinate with you to determine a great location for your shoot. Some things to consider when deciding on location are: your personalities, what the two of you enjoy doing as a couple, and the look and feel we want to capture. You are welcome to include pets or props in your session. The great news is we have plenty of time to get creative!

Q: What to Wear:

A: Outfits should reflect who you are as a couple. Your look should compliment each other without being "matchy matchy." In other words, you don't have to wear matching t-shirts or even the same color. Small doses of color look great on camera. Ladies if you are wearing heels, consider bringing along a pair of flats for walking to multiple locations. Gents, solid color shoes generally look best. Often we have time for an outfit change, so its possible to do a dressy look and a more casual look.

THINGS TO AVOID:

ill fitting clothing (too tight or too baggy)
large patterns
wearing too much white (unless of course, we are doing a bridal portrait session!)

Tip:
Hair/Makeup: Ladies, consider having a professional hair and makeup application. We work with several awesome artists and are happy to offer recommendations. If you are applying your own makeup, it's best to go for a subtle look that doesn't look too overly done.
