Some people are a force of light—and Roberta is one of those rare souls who brings warmth, wit, and undeniable presence wherever she goes. She’s one of my favorite people: creative, compassionate, and absolutely hilarious (the kind of friend you call when you need to laugh until your stomach hurts). This portrait session in Alexandria, Virginia was a celebration of all those beautiful layers—elegant, bold, soulful, and playful.

Intimate & Impactful Studio Vibes

We began with moody studio lighting to showcase Roberta’s confidence and grace. These close-up portraits highlight her natural glow, radiant skin, and magnetic gaze. It’s pure empowerment in portrait form—a reminder that beauty is boldest when it's authentic.

Bold in Black

We added a sleek black dress—timeless, powerful, and chic. Set against both studio backdrops and historic brick textures, these portraits captured Roberta’s elegance and strength with a touch of sass. Whether she was seated gracefully or striking a confident lean, she exuded poise and presence.

Golden Glow in Blush

For her third look, Roberta slipped into a soft blush satin dress. Paired with gold accessories and that signature smile, the vibe shifted to one of calm confidence. This look was all about ease, beauty, and inner glow—capturing her thoughtful and creative side.

Edgy & Effortless

Finally, Roberta turned up the fun in a bold mix of leather and tulle. This outfit was a playful twist on feminine edge—a black moto jacket paired with a flowing pink skirt. We explored local textures and backdrops, letting her style shine in the streets of Alexandria. Sneakers peeking from beneath the skirt added the perfect final wink to her personality.

Sessions like these are what I live for—celebrating women, friendship, style, and joy.
