Rust Manor House Multicultural Wedding

Rust Manor House had everything Mel and Ugorji wanted for their American/Nigerian wedding.  Beautiful outdoor ceremony space with lush greens, an outdoor tent for dinner and dancing and a charming manor house to get ready and celebrate cocktail hour.

Mel and Ugorji met in their apartment building.  They lived on the same floor and when she saw him, she introduced herself and rest was history.  From the moment she met him, she knew he was the one, but she was absolutely sure when she realized that she wanted him around through all of life's ups and downs.

He proposed at sunset on a beach in Cancun and shortly afterward they began planning their colorful, multicultural wedding.  Their reception featured traditional American dishes from Great Blue Heron and West African cuisine for Nana Manu.

Mel and Ugorji opted to do a first look and I will never forget Ugorji's face when he saw his beautiful bride for the first time.  He was so excited - that moment was so sweet we all just let them have a few minutes to just enjoy each other's company.

The sun came out just in time for their ceremony and we were able to capture the wedding party and family photos shortly after.

Mel wore a stunning wedding dress from Maggie Sottero and her bridesmaids wore dresses from Sorella Vita.  Her bridal hair was created by Signature Image Salon and Tymia Yvette added the finishing touches with soft pinks and sultry bridal makeup.  Ugorji's tux was provided by Sarar.  The purple accented bouquets and table florals were provided by Herndon Florists.

It was a pleasure capturing Mel and Ugorji's big day.  It was a truly a colorful festival event that was filled with love.  We wish them a lifetime of happiness.
