When your career spans government communications, broadcast news, voice over work, and theatrical performance, your headshot needs to do more than look good — it needs to tell the right story.

Corporate Headshots

I had the pleasure of photographing Judy Echavez, a producer, voice over artist, actress, and seasoned public affairs specialist, during a quick headshot session while she was in Washington, DC for a professional conference. Although Judy is based in Florida, we made the most of her time in DC with a focused session designed to deliver maximum versatility.

Judy and I previously worked together at the Consumer Product Safety Commission, where I had the opportunity to see firsthand the kind of professional she is. She consistently brings a positive, steady presence to every environment — always cheerful, adaptable, and someone who genuinely makes the best out of any situation. She is the kind of colleague who elevates a team simply by being part of it, and working alongside her was truly a pleasure.

That same professionalism and confidence now carries through her work across government communications, broadcast news, voice over, and theatrical performance, making range a critical requirement for her headshot portfolio.

Creating Multiple Looks in One Session

Our goal for this session was intentional: one subject, multiple narratives.

We crafted a collection of images that could seamlessly support a wide range of professional needs, including:

  • Polished corporate leadership — confident, composed, and authoritative

  • Warm, approachable “happy mom” energy — relatable, genuine, and friendly

  • Strong, cinematic character work — think FBI agent, investigator, or dramatic television roles

Through subtle shifts in wardrobe, expression, posture, and lighting, we were able to capture headshots that feel distinct while remaining cohesive. This is especially important for professionals like Judy, whose work crosses industries and audiences.

Why Versatile Headshots Matter

For producers, voice over artists, and actors, casting decisions and professional opportunities often begin with a single image. A strong headshot should instantly communicate credibility and adaptability.

Judy’s session is a perfect example of how a well-planned headshot experience can support:

  • Corporate bios and speaking engagements

  • Voice over and broadcast media profiles

  • Casting submissions and theatrical branding

  • Government and public affairs communications

Even in a short session, thoughtful direction and intentional storytelling can produce a gallery that works hard across platforms.

If you’re visiting Washington, DC for a conference, production, or professional engagement and need updated headshots that reflect your full range — this kind of focused session is an efficient, high-impact solution.
